Types of toilets for motorhomes: With gravity drain - the most common; Tried and tested in camper vans for decades, this gravity flush toilet should be installed directly on top of the waste bin. Rinse with maceration - blades rotating from an electric motor grind waste into a viscous slurry, which is transferred to a large waste tank.
Vacuum Cleaning - The contents of the toilet are powerfully sucked out through a fixed vacuum reservoir and a vacuum pump with maceration, and then pumped into a large waste tank. Cassette - primarily designed for caravans and campers. This toilet technology provides a compact toilet that is permanently mounted above a small, removable “cassette” waste bin. The motorhome toilet has a built-in removable cassette under the toilet bowl, its capacity is about 20 liters. It is in this cassette that waste falls after pressing the toilet flush button.
